Media Geek & Friends is a comic strip that has appeared online sporadically. Last year I had the idea of introducing an element called the Glass Onion (special thanks to The Beatles), which allows the character of Michael Greco (aka Media Geek) cross dimensions, even from reality into fictional worlds. Other characters are MG’s girlfriend, Eileen; Roddy, the talking ape, with dreams of human domination except for the fact he loves pop culture so much; Timmy Tribble, who has dedicated himself to the Tribble lifestyle; and the hero without a clue, Fleischer.
Although there were a number of strips taking place before this one, it seems to do a pretty good job of explaining itself as MG, Fleischer and Roddy head over to the Planet of the Apes. The script is by yours truly, with art and lettering by the amazing Russell M. Hossain. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
